Paca and the Beetle

New for 2012

Puppets Elora has been hard at work building amazing rain forest creatures and preparing its newest play, “Paca and the Beetle.” Paca is lively rodent who lives in the Brazilian rain forest. She is also a bit of a bully! A friendly challenge and a kind gesture show her the rewards of friendship, community and generosity.

This new play, an adaptation by Puppets Elora of a South American folk tale, features colourful animal characters drawing on a wide range of puppet-making techniques. The soundtrack is lively Brazilian folk and samba rhythms guaranteed to energize a young audience. Ideal for kindergarten through Grade 5, suitable for anti-bullying or friendship programs or for anyone who loves puppets and folktales.

See “Paca and the Beetle” at the 2012 Guelph and District Multicultural Festival on Saturday, June 9 at the Children's Tent.

Other plays currently touring are “Anansi and the Golden Box of Stories” and “The Frog Prince”.
